Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome
A PWS on the limbs can be
attributed to Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome, which can result in
asymmetrical arms or legs due to excessive growth of bone and soft
tissue (hypertrophy) and typically affects only one side of the
body. The overgrowth may not be present at birth and may only be
noticed after a few months or years. A CAT scan, an MRI or color
Doppler
can help determine the scope of the syndrome and how best to
manage it.
